One of the most potent and powerful antioxidants that is freely available to everyone has been placed directly beneath our feet.
Seems Mother Earth is a stronghold of negatively charged free electrons that serve as powerful antioxidants and are just waiting to be utilized.
Even though it is the least expensive and easiest to obtain, this natural storehouse of electrons and subtle electrical fields that Mother Earth offers us, is essential to the smooth operation of our circulation and immune systems and is proving to be the most effective antioxidant available and its free!
Being in direct contact with the earth is, without doubt, highly beneficial to our health and minimizes the consequences that exposure to potentially disruptive electromagnetic fields cause. And, let’s face it, our bodies are exposed to a wide spectrum of electromagnetic radiation from computers, TV’s, radios , mobile phones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, power lines and other electrical appliances on a daily basis. Unfortunately, because our modern lifestyles no longer demand “survival” tactics/activities outside anymore, our bodies are showing the negative effects of lacking this “electric” earthly connection.
Without this connection the cells in our bodies are not able to balance the positive charge which results from things like electron-deficient free radicals.
“Grounding” or “earthing” as it is called, is the act of walking and placing bare feet or other body parts directly against the earth. This can be done on grass, sand, concrete (as long as it is not painted or sealed in any way) dirt and even ceramic tile.
Our ancestors did not have to make it a point to go out and “earth” themselves because their natural activities and lifestyles required them to do so. Most of them even slept directly on the earth…silently benefiting from it.
In other words, mankind has been “earthing” forever. It is nothing new…we just were not aware of its powerful effects – the subtle electrical signals the body was receiving that helped our bodily systems function at peak performance until more recent times.
Chronic inflammation and most common modern diseases are the result of too many “free radicals” in the body. Many people suffer as a result and the simple act of reconnecting with Mother Earth could be the simple, free solution and missing link to curing it.
Free radicals are molecules that are unstable so they seek to stabilize by bonding with healthy molecules or cells. This in turn causes damage to cells or to DNA contained within the cells damaging healthy tissue.
Free radicals are not our friends. These rogue molecules play roles in everything from aging to autoimmune diseases and the development of cancer and everyday every cell in the body is being attacked 10,000 times by these destructive villains. That’s a lot of warfare going on inside and if you are not giving your body the defense it needs to fight off these free radicals, disease is the end result.
Antioxidants work in part by quenching free radicals. The healthy unprocessed foods we enjoy daily supply us with free radical destroyers and we get them by absorbing electrons directly through the skin when coming in contact with the Earth and the rich nerve endings in our feet make them the ideal conductors of these health building electrons.
We can also take advantage of “earthing” and “grounding” by sitting or lying down directly on the earth. We absorb free electrons from the earth when we do this.
Earthing not only helps get our immune system humming but getting our needed supply of negatively charged electrons from Mother Earth goes a long way towards relieving anxiety and stress as well.
So, the next time our immune system seems compromised and we feel a bit stressed, anxious and/or depressed, all we need do is head outdoors to the beach, park or our favorite patch of earth, remove our shoes, tap into Nature’s natural protective mechanisms and bathe our feet generously in it.
Our immune system will thank us for it.
There is abundant proof that Mother Earth provides all her children with valuable antioxidants that boost immunity and aid in healing us emotionally, mentally and physically. But we must make the effort to connect.
